The Crew
Dominic warman Roup
co-skipper & engineer
Dominic started with dinghy sailing, making his way through the RYA dinghy sailing scheme before moving on to racing at his local yacht club as a teenager, hanging onto the bow of J boats through the winter off the south coast of England. He then bought his first boat, a Swedish-designed 35ft Bermudan sloop in order to explore the UK coast under sail where he saw first-hand the environmental impact we are having on our waters.
With a background in aeronautics and vehicle design including a wealth of fabrication experience, EV design, and engine rebuilds, he is perfectly equipped to carry out the challenges of self-sufficiency in remote areas.

stephanie moore
co-skipper & program coordinator
Stephanie is a marine scientist with a passion for making data collection more accessible, allowing for a clearer understanding of the adverse effects we are having on the marine world in order to better mitigate them. She chose sailboats to carry out her work for this reason, an affordable research platform with a small environmental footprint on the waters its trying to protect. Her recent research includes spatiotemporally mapping the noise pollution produced by commercial and recreational craft in coastal areas due to the known impacts this is having on resident cetaceans.
Her previous employment has ranged from project managing fieldwork in the charity sector to laboratory-based research, allowing her to effectively support scientists in conducting their fieldwork.
